First time here and also first time trying a West African cuisine.
We ordered the Chicken Yassa, Afra Chicken, and Afra Lamb. All of them tasted wonderful. I love how the Chicken Yassa had some gravy that I could mix with my rice. The portion for each meal was more than enough.
We are coming back here again to try the meat pies, Jollof Rice, and Plasas. ☺️
Good comfort food for the price! First time trying jollof rice and it’s pretty tasty. So much chicken in the afra chicken dish and the pickled onions were delicious. Wish they had plantains cuz I wanted to eat a whole plate. Meat pies were yummy! We’ll be back to try the peanut beef dish and plantains obviously.
Ordered benechin jollif rice, yassa chicken, and whole lemon herb fish. Yum, it's not as good as Dijahs kitchen nearby but still very very good. I thought the yassa chicken was just average but my wife and kids thought it was superb. Jollif rice was addicting. Daughter wanted to eat the fish nonstop. They only have takeout boxes, kinda weird, and you have to clean up yourself even if u are a sit-down customer.
I went in not knowing what to expect. The staff was friendly and even help out with a recommendation since it was my first time in the establishment. The food was AMAZING!!! I will definitely be a returning customer.
