Tasty Dosa and Delightful Mini Idlis, but Considerations to Keep in Mind

I recently visited Madras Dosa Corner, and I must say, their Paper Masala Dosa in the large size was a delight to my taste buds. The dosa was cooked to perfection, with a crispy texture on the outside and a flavorful potato masala filling on the inside. It was accompanied by a delicious chutney that complemented the dosa wonderfully.

Apart from the dosa, I also tried their Mini Idlis, and they were equally impressive. These bite-sized delights were soft, fluffy, and packed with flavor. They were served with a tasty sambar and chutney, enhancing the overall experience.

However, I must mention that the prices at Madras Dosa Corner are slightly on the higher side compared to other similar establishments. While the quality of the food justifies the cost to some extent, it might not be the most budget-friendly option for everyone.

One thing to keep in mind is that this place tends to get crowded quite easily. Even if you arrive early, be prepared to wait for at least 20 minutes before getting a table. The popularity of the restaurant is a testament to the quality of their food, but it can also lead to some inconvenience if you're in a hurry.

Another minor drawback I noticed was a slight delay in getting the food ready and served. It wasn't a major issue, but if you're on a tight schedule, it's worth considering this potential delay.

Overall, Madras Dosa Corner is a great spot to satisfy your cravings for delicious dosas and mini idlis. The taste and quality of the food make up for the slightly higher prices, although you may need to factor in some waiting time. Just be patient, and you'll be rewarded with a flavorful South Indian culinary experience.

One of the best south indian restaurants in this area. In fact, this is one of the few places wherein you get south indian as close to real.
Things we tried :
1) Medu vada: Absolute ace. Dipped in the sambar is unmatched. I would have hoped for better chutney as chutneys were a bit let down but honestly you don’t need them
2) Idli sambar: Average
3) Ghee podi utappam: Amazing podi chutney with the perfect texture of ghee adds amazing flavour
4) Ghee onion podi plain dosa and ghee mysore onion dosa: Both were good and quite similar to uttapam but more crispier.
5) Plantain bhaji: Never had this thing before anywhere. Worth a try.
6) Nutella dosa: A part of a kid’s menu this dosa was quite innovative. The crispiness of the dosa along with the caramelised Nutella was a good combination
6) Filter coffee: And of course how can you not end a south indian meal without the iconic filter coffee. And this coffee matched our raised expectations.
7) Channa bhatura: Channa was great. Bhatura could have been more fluffy
8) Yogurt rice: Surprisingly this was disappointing. I would have expected more toppings.
Overall a must try place for south indian authentic food.

We went for dinner and were able to find a table quite easily.
There is ample parking space outside.
We ordered the special bonda with the south indian tiffin and the kari dosa with mutton
The food was a little oily and the bonda seemed a little undercooked .

The chutneys that came in the tiffin was nice and seemed fresh . The tiffin comes with masal dosa , idli and a dessert.
The kari dosa with goat is essentially uttapam with egg and minced mutton on top.

Also got filter coffee which was refreshing . Overall the place is good but i hope they make their dosas a little less oily!

Delicious south Indian food. Highlights: Sambhar and Podi Idli.

I visit this place quite often and I used to describe this place as “good food, bad service” But I surprisingly experienced good service on my recent visit (that too on a long weekend) I hope to continue seeing the improvements in the service!
